Video Submissions

We want you to look your best, so here's a few tips:

  • If shooting with a phone, hold the phone horizontially, not upright,
  • Notice your lighting. Make sure it's not too bright and no backlight - we want to see your face, not your shadow.
  • Choose a quiet place to record with minimal to no background noise (inside is probably best).
  • Make sure the background in your video doesn't draw attention, so choose a neutral place to film.
  • We want to be able to hear you, so be close when shooting (especially on a phone) or you can use a microphone if you have one.
  • Keep the camera steady. For a phone video, it's best to have someone take the video of you. If you don't have anyone, find something to stabilize it on.

Entry deadline is August 25th.

Submit a short video of yourself talking about what you like about InJoy and the Understanding titles and formats. Let us know how you use these materials together, how they have helped your program, or share any positive feedback you hear from parents. For details on the Understanding curriculum go here.

It's as easy as taking a video with your phone or computer camera, such as FaceTime of Skype.  Please keep videos under 2 minutes in length. By submitting a video you are giving InJoy permission to use your name and video in our promotional material, social media, and on our website.

When you are ready to submit your video, email Sarah O'Connor at You will receive an email with a link and password. Follow the link and the instructions provided on the email to upload your video.If your video is choosen, we will reach out to you by email and you will receive a $100 InJoy gift certificate.
