The 2021 InJoy Summit is virtual.


WHAT IS THE 2021 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT ALL ABOUT?

Moving forward from the COVID 19 global health crisis, the 2021 InJoy Virtual Summit is an opportunity for us to “Rebound and Rebuild” as nurses, teachers, advisors, and leaders . We will discuss best practices for coming back to the classroom, and how to rebuild our education programs looking forward, including the topics of technology, health equity, and inclusivity. We will also look at improving the postpartum education experience for parents as they recover and rebound after childbirth. This is a place for all of us to connect and regroup. It will be a time to learn and share about moving forward after the pandemic.


WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE 2021 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT?

  • Discuss how we can come back into the classroom after the pandemic.
  • Explore how patient education has evolved as a result of the pandemic, such as using a blended or hybrid approach.
  • Learn best practices to make virtual and remote teaching as effective as possible.
  • Examine ways to ensure that patient education is inclusive and equitable for the best possible health outcomes.
  • Discuss the importance of effective postpartum education to reduce maternal mortality rates.


WHO IS THE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR THE 2021 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT?

Directors, nurse managers, patient education directors and coordinators, educators, nurses, lactation specialists, doulas, midwives and more.


WHAT TYPES OF SESSIONS CAN I LOOK FORWARD TO AT THE 2021 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT? 

There are three session durations available

  • 1 hour
  • 30 min
  • 15 min

Other Potential Speaker Opportunities:

  • Host a networking idea-sharing virtual table with educators
  • Lead mindfulness or self-care exercises

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PRESENT AT THESE EVENTS?

If you have an important topic to discuss and a way to help others in the birthing profession gain insight, please consider completing the proposal using the link below. Because we may be seeking CEs, licenses or certified professionals are preferred as presenters. 

ARE SPEAKERS COMPENSATED?

Yes, we have two options for compensation: $250 in cash/check, or $500 in InJoy products!

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF ME AS A SPEAKER FROM A TECHNICAL STANDPOINT?

Your headshot, bio, presentation objectives, 3 questions that relate to your topic, your slide deck, (PowerPoint) or your outline if you are not using a slide deck. (Note: Presentations will be due a month before the conference date.)
