Women Will Not Be Forced to Be Alone When They Are Giving Birth in New York

What is the policy at your hospital? Things change quickly and in New York, some private hospitals issued a policy that forced moms in labor to birth alone. With the outcry from that, Governor Cuomo will be issuing an order that allows moms to bring a partner.

New York's governor will issue executive order to force all hospitals to allow women to have a partner in the labor and delivery room.

We allow one support person is they are symptom free. If the patient has hired a doula, we are encouraging virtual doula rather than choosing the doula over the support person.
