Cesarean rates on the rise

An article in JAMA report that after a slight decrease in the cesarean rate in 2019 to 31.7, the numbers are increasing again.  In 2020 the rate went to 31,8 and in 2021, it is at 32.1.  And now the rates for primary cesarean among all cesareans are 3 out of 5.  And for those that do have a primary cesarean, 4 of 5 of those will go on to have another cesarean for a subsequent birth.
