WHAT IS THE 2023 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT ALL ABOUT? 

Building on the success of our first two InJoy Summits, each with several hundred educators and other health professionals participating, we are excited to continue the tradition in 2023! This year, we will be creating another collaborative event to exchange information and ideas for improving the perinatal education experience for new families, all while enriching the lives of the educators, nurses, and other health professionals who participate. 

We will be focusing on evolving our approaches and research, so we can best meet the needs of new parents and families. As a presenter, you will have an opportunity to teach new strategies and share information to help lead the evolution.


WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE 2023 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT?  

We are looking for presentations that cover topics related to the following timely themes: 

  • Emerging MCH research for educators, nurses, and other health professionals to use in practice or share with patients/students 
  • Increasing parent perceptions of the importance of childbirth education 
  • Strategies to make health education effective and accessible for all learners 
  • Creating a culture of diversity and inclusion in classes and materials 
  • Educating about the postpartum period to improve outcomes 
  • Trends and techniques to reach new parents most effectively in today’s environment

WHO IS THE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR THE 2022 INJOY VIRTUAL SUMMIT?  

Directors, nurse managers, patient education directors and coordinators, educators, nurses, lactation specialists, doulas, midwives, and more.  


WHAT TYPES OF SESSIONS CAN I APPLY FOR?   

  • Panel
  • Individual Presentation

  • 1 hour

Other Potential Speaker Opportunities:  

  • Host a networking idea-sharing virtual table with educators  
  • Lead mindfulness or self-care exercises  

  
  

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PRESENT AT THESE EVENTS?  

If you have an important topic to discuss and a way to help others in the pregnancy, birthing, lactation, and postpartum professions to gain insight, please consider completing a Speaker Proposal using the link below. Because we will be seeking CEs, degrees, licenses or certified professionals are preferred as presenters.   


ARE SPEAKERS COMPENSATED?  

Yes, we have two options for compensation: a $250 check, or $500 in InJoy products!  
  
  

WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF ME AS A SPEAKER?  

Your headshot, bio, presentation objectives, and a  slide deck (PowerPoint). (Note: Presentations will be due a month before the conference date. You must be available to rehearse your presentation with us a few weeks prior to the summit.)  During the rehearsal and on the day of the Summit, you will need access to a strong internet connection and a laptop or computer with a camera and microphone. A neutral environment with limited background noise is encouraged as you present.
